What is Media Studies?

The Integrated Media Studies classes are mandatory, trimester, non-elective courses, grades 9-11 that are integrated into the cultural history curriculum. In all the Media Studies courses, students learn to deconstruct and construct media via collaborative and individual projects and activities, production, discussion, and written reflection. This is a double-period class.

Photogram poems

Looking up to the cloud above my head
Your face concealed by purple mist that feels like lead
It slowly clears and at last my eyes are filled

Sunny cellophane skies
Silver writing my eyes
Bright sunny cellophane skies
I like the way you make me feel
Sensations I thought were unreal
-Status Quo

Misconceptions of the past make the future unclear, the patterns of life too complex to perceive. To take control of the body and mind is to perceive the present, which is also the past, and conclude fast enough to make a single path to fallow and structure, like lattice, to climb through the misconceptions and clutter.
